Reid’s Shocking Racist Comments

Harry Reid, it has been reported, described then presidential candidate Barack Obama as being “light-skinned” and not speaking “Negro dialect” in a private conversation that is being reprinted in a soon-to-be released book.

These statements are shocking. Beyond the blatant racism of the comment, Reid is the very same senator who said that Republicans opposing health care reform were similar to opponents of civil rights reform (a statement which he refused to apologize for and took heat from even die-hard Democrats like Chris Matthews).
